Campus Activities

St. Luke's ability to blend time honored traditions with the creative energy each new school year brings makes the St. Luke's experience unique for students and parents alike. Your new parent status will be short lived as you take advantage of the many opportunities to become involved in your child’s life at
St. Luke's. We welcome you to the family!

Chapel Services:
1st - 5th grader celebrates the traditional Eucharist every Wednesday morning at 8:30 in the church. Parents are always welcome to attend and sit with the students. It is a wonderful opportunity to see the student body assemble and to hear the beautiful music of children's voices.

Middle School celebrates the traditional Eucharist every Tuesday morning at 8:30 in the church.  Parents are always welcome to attend and sit with the students. 

Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten attend an abbreviated service without the Eucharist and is held every Thursday at 8:30 in the church. Family members are always welcome to attend and sit with the students. 

Student Plays at St. Luke's delight their audiences with, interesting facts and creative songs. The uniquely designed plays provide the students the opportunity to perform with pride for family and guests.

School Party days are organized by Parent Guild room mothers and parent volunteers under the supervision of the teachers. Styles of parties vary from class to class and parents are usually welcome to visit the classrooms during party times.

Field Trips are organized by the teachers with parents serving as drivers and chaperones off campus. Siblings are not allowed to accompany parents on field trips. Field trips are an excellent way for parents to get acquainted and to get to know their child's classmates.

"Preview St Luke's" may have been your first encounter with St Luke's. The best way for prospective parents to learn about the school is to visit personally with the staff and parents on campus. We encourage you to share your experiences with others and invite them to our Preview Open House.

Bayou Bash is St Luke's largest annual event and Parent Guild's most successful fund-raiser held on campus. It is a fun filled day of fellowship, food, and games for the entire family. It’s not unusual to see families, St Luke's faculty, alumni, and parishioners joining in the fun. This event is one of your child's fondest memories of St Luke's.

Bayou Bash T-shirt days are special Fridays leading up to Bayou Bash. Students who have purchased a Bayou Bash T-shirt (designed by our very own students) may wear them along with their uniform shorts or pants on these days.

Silent Auction is a casual event with good food, music, and unique auction items. These things combine to create a festive atmosphere for fun, fellowship, and a fund raising you won’t want to miss.

Library Highlights Week sponsored by the Friends of the Library is literally filled with formal as well as impromptu storytelling throughout the campus. Pre-K and Kindergartners will find the Bedtime Story Party delightful, while lst -5th graders dazzle one another on Book Character Dress up Day.

Grandparents Day is a very special day at St Luke's when Grandparents and Grand "others" are invited to visit the campus and students in their classrooms. Our honored guests begin their visit with refreshments and view a video of cherished memories before making their way to the classrooms.

Teacher Appreciation Week is a time Parent Guild sets aside for students and parents to thank the teachers of St Luke's for their hard work and dedication. Teachers and staff receive small gifts and notes of thanks throughout the week concluding with a special luncheon on Friday.

Field Days are fun filled, high energy days of original games for the students led by "Coach" and his team of parent volunteers. A signal that the school year is coming to an end, field day becomes a special memory for students and parents alike.
